We currently have well over an estimated 50,000 Kenyans in South Africa. Most have come to this great country for economic, social or other gains.
However, Kenyans remain unique. We are industrious and more so, love our country. We contribute in any way and manner possible to projects of national importance & development. A good number of us want to be involved in making decisions for our beloved mother country and assist in any form of national development.
Of importance is our right to vote! It is a basic right for every Kenyan to cast their vote and make a choice over our leaders. It is outright unacceptable not to be able to vote because of Geographical boundaries.
In this day and age, technology can assist in making voting easier regardless of your location. We therefore urge you as a Kenyan living in South Africa to contribute towards the choice of our leaders in 2012.
We, the undersigned Kenyans living in South Africa, call on the Independent Electoral Commission of Kenya (IEC) to facilitate our registration and voting during the 2012 General Elections, in South Africa.
