As an American marketer, designer, and manufacturer, the Victoria’s Secret brand markets premium lingerie, beauty products, and womenswear. One tenth of Victoria’s Secret’s products are collectively sourced by Intimate Fashions who are manufacturers located in South India. In addition to this, the Jordan-United States Free Trade Agreement withdrew from the acceptable standards of manufacture and trade so much so that the working conditions in the underwear company’s factories in Jordan have been likened with slave labour. Among much of the slave-like labour is the rough treatment administered by managers and supervisors who are guilty of screaming at the foreign guest workers in order for them to move quicker to complete the deadlines of their high production. . In addition to this, child labour is also an occurring element within the company’s product material composition. A portion of the cotton sourced by Victoria’s Secret originates from a cotton plant in Burkina Faso in Africa obtained by children as young as 13 who are often beaten by the plant’s farmers. Notably, this farm was a certified organic and fair trade plantation which should mean that these areas should be free of such slavery and human rights abuses

I, the undersigned, support this petition in the effort to stop Victoria's Secret in their use of unethical cotton sources and their poor treatment of their workers.
