VERDUN ST BEXLEY: SPEED HUMP & RESIDENTIAL PARKING REQUEST

Please consider the following stanza as a positive plead, to ensure the safety & sound living of those residing at the south/east end of Verdun St, Bexley 2207.

SPEED HUMP REQUEST: Due to a series of motor vehicle accidents & traffic incidents (near misses) in Verdun st Bexley over the past 12 months, we request that there is one or more speed humps put in our street. It is quite a wide road & has quite a steep hill also descending to our south/east end of the street. There are constantly law-breaking & peace polluting drivers speeding up & down Verdun st. Particularly, late afternoons & late into the evenings. On Sunday 8th of May (Mothers Day), one neighbour had his car smashed almost to the point of a write off while it was parked stationary in our street. This was a 3 car accident & not the first noted to have been caused by negligent driving in our street in recent times. There are children often in our street, there is an aged care facility with lots of elderly human traffic, ambulances etc occupying the wings of Verdun st daily & we feel it is in the community's best interest that this request be granted as soon as possible.

RESIDENTIAL PARKING & PUBLIC PARKING RESTRICTIONS: We request that the south/east end of Verdun street's parking situation please be reviewed. Many of the residents that reside in Verdun St south/east do not have access driveways & carports. Due to the countless visitors at the Aged Care Centre along with other nearby amenities, our street's parking is exhausted. There are times where motor vehicles are left in our street for up to a week at a time, clogging our street to house access & it is quite frustrating. At least, limited timezone parking (with the exception to Verdun St residents) would be very much appreciated.
