unity in the community

we are a senior community (62+). a community which have dealt with our differences, most care and share with each other, it has been a not so perfect community but one of peace and tolerance. No weapons are allowed in our community (building), it is independent facility, which means when you are accepted as a resident you are suppose to be able to care for yourself, which includes the transaction of your business, and we do have residents who require healthcare assistance. What we lack is rules or laws that prohibit disrespect, demeaning, and gossiping about residents, management. as you know these problems which has a lot to do with resident turn-over, and the security and safety of residents and management, especially when some residents involve family members who come in and threaten our staff which endangers our safety and security(manager recently killed by resident). we are asking for rules, laws to be developed, established or created that will provide some preventives, because the way things are going, this is headed for disaster. IT NEEDS TO STOP! RESIDENTS NEED TO KNOW THAT CONFUSION, DELIBERATE GOSSIP, AND DEMEANING ANYONE IN THE COMMUNITY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Sincerely
