Ukiah, California is a city of over 100 thousand population. Most of their youth have very limited outlets for recreation and therefor are at risk to become involved with either drugs or alcohol! there are several hundreds of youth who are into skate boards and BMX bike riding.
Ukiah has commenced building a skate park for it's youth but nothing for the BMX bike riders? We would like to petition the City Council to re-consider the use of the new skate park to include also the BMXERS! Please help our Ukiah youth not to be excluded by being included!
Ukiah needs a BMX park for their youth to be able to ride without being hassled by the local police or merchants! By building a BMX park for our youth we will be helping to prevent loitering, unlawful gatherings, conflicts, drug prevention, gang prevention, vandalism, and above all it will help keep our kids off the streets and hidden isolated areas where many things can go wrong!
When our youth have a park to ride their bikes it will also promote: Unity, peaceful gatherings, anti-drug use, anti-alcohol use, safe and clean place, goals, self-esteem, affordable recreation, and a positive energy outlet, as well as fun with a purpose! Ukiah has already begun to build a skate park but has not included the local bmx bike riders! Please sign our petition to include all youth by not having any of them excluded!
