Beneficiaries may not have countable resources exceeding $2000 for an individual and $3000 for a couple (excluding an individual’s home, car and certain other assets).
If these amounts had kept pace with inflation, they would be $6500 and $9700 respectively.
We, the undersigned, call on the Social Security Administration to increase the resource limits of SSI recipients, currently $2,000 for an individual and $3,000 for a couple, based on the rate of inflation.
