In Canada today as a gay, bi, or questioning male if you have sex with a man once you are unable to give blood. This ban is still in affect even if you wore protection and even if you currently test negative for STI's and HIV or AIDS.

So far countries such as the UK, Japan, Sweden, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand have up lifted these bans. Its Time For Canada to do the same.

All Blood Donated to the Canadian Blood Services is properly tested and screened before given to patients. This should not be a problem. (This ban is not affective to gay, bi or questioning women)

We the undersigned call upon the Federal Government of Canada to lift the ban so Gay, Bi, or questioning men are not refused to donate blood, marrow, or organs.

We believe that anyone that is tested and deemed health should be given the right to Donate. Anything otherwise is discrimination and goes against the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

In Plain, we ask that the Canada Government give the right to any healthy Canadian to donate. Regardless of sexual orientation.
