Greetings;

We, the undersigned Nubian organizations and activists have the honor to approach you concerning the prevailing situation in Nubia where abuses take place in the Nubian region in northern Sudan by the Sudanese government. What is happening in the Nubian territory falls under the UN charter definition for human rights abuses and violations, ethnic and cultural cleansing and organized crime against the peaceful indigenous Nubian people, whose culture, heritage, natural and archaeological treasures are plundered. The International laws prohibit forcible displacement of indigenous people from their ancestral lands and destruction of their historical assets and ensure that all human groups be protected and live in peace.

The destruction of Nubia started In 650 AD when Arab invaders signed in 650 AD the "Baqt" Treaty, the first written agreement between Muslims and Christians in the history of Islam and forced Nubians to pay tributes of 365 slaves yearly till they gradually converted into Islam and in 1505 AD the Arabs invaded and overran the last Nubian Christian Kingdom of Alwa (Aludia) seated at Soba, south of Khartoum and Nubia succumbed to Arabization and cultural cleansing ever since.

The British colonialism played the major role in dismantling Nubia by allowing a part of Nubia to be annexed to Egypt and the other part to be annexed to Sudan.
In 1902 Egypt built Aswan Dam which displaced most of the Egyptian Nubians from their homelands and in 1962, another massive destruction of Nubia took place by building the High Dam of Egypt which submerged the total Egyptian Nubian territory and a great part of Sudanese Nubian territory. The High Dam of Egypt separated geographically the Nubians of Egypt from the Sudanese Nubians as they were relocated in an Arabized land in Kom Ombo while over 50,000 Sudanese Nubians were relocated in Eastern Sudan, near the Sudanese - Eritrean border. 

The remaining Nubian land in Sudan was isolated from Sudan and from the Nubians in Egypt, intentionally marginalized and impoverished to force them to leave their ancestral lands gradually in a grand strategy to create a vacuum and a "No man's land" in Nubia prior to resettlement of millions of Arabs. Millions of Nubians were forced to migrate to other cities of Sudan and to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries as expatriates.

In April 2004, Egypt and Sudan signed the Four Freedoms Agreement to relocate millions of Egyptian farmers in Argeen and the Nubian Triangle Basin to change the demographic structure of Nubia.

The Sudanese government with the technical help of China and Arab financiers started a plan to build series of dams in Nubia. Merowe dam has been completed in 2006 while Dal, Kajbar and El-Sheraik dams are underway. All these dams will submerge the remaining Nubian lands with all its unexcavated archaeological treasures which will be lost forever.

When Nubians protested peacefully against construction of a dam at Kajbar cataract on July 13, 2007, they were brutally attacked by the security forces who killed 4 young Nubians and gravely injured 19 others. Despite the heinous crime committed against peaceful Nubian protestors, the accomplices were set free with impunity by the ruling authorities.

During the last five years, many mysterious arsons on Nubian palm dates have resulted in burning to ashes over 170,000 fruitful trees which comprise the main cash crop for the Nubians. These arsons are still taking place in different Nubian villages without any help from the local and central governments to extinguish these arsons. Nubians believe that these arsons are intentionally made by government agents to force Nubians to desert their lands and change the demographic structure in the area by displacing Nubians and replacing them by Arab investors and occupants.

The ongoing destruction of Nubia in Sudan by dams, arsons, environmental hazards created by indiscriminate gold mining, displacement, demographic restructuring, cultural cleansing and Arabization, as a part of a grand strategy designed by the International Muslim Brotherhood Movement and the radical Arabs to remove the non-Arabic pocket from the map and establish the Nile Valley Islamic Arab state, their historical dream of establishing an African Andalusia from Alexandria to the Great Lakes. The current situation in the Middle East and North Africa indicates that African indigenous people are the most expected vulnerable targets by the fanatic Islamists and radical Arabs.

The Sudanese government has opened Nubian land for indiscriminate gold mining by local gold seekers and companies owned by influential Islamists and opportunist companies owned by the ruling National Congress Party members like “Alhashuor company of Kamal Abdul Latif, former Minister of Minerals and a company owned by Mohammed Nafie Ali Nafie, the son of the influential leader of the National Congress Party and another company owned by Mr. Mubarak al-Fadil are looting the Nubian gold and using internationally prohibited hazardous chemical materials such as potassium cyanide and mercury that will destroy the environment of the Nubian region.

The international community and the humanity in general will lose the richest archaeological sites in the world as stated by the British historian Bazil Davidson.

Nubia, which is considered as one of the most peaceful and safest societies of the world according to UNESCO records and the academicians who regularly visit the area, and where the successors of the first queens (Kandakas) of the Nile Valley who ruled and led armies feared by Alexander the Great are now flogged and lashed in public or threatened by stoning or being sold as sex slaves as the case with ISIS who got sympathizers and disciples among the fanatic Islamists and radical Arabs in Sudan and other neighboring countries.

Taharqa, the Nubian celebrity, saved Jerusalem and the Jewish Kingdom of Judea in 701 BC from the Assyrian annihilation and saved the Abrahamic faiths while his people are now threatened by dams, Arabization, marginalization and displacement. Nubians deserve to be treated with due respect and reciprocity from the international community.

Nubians are in dire need for help from the international community and organizations to survive before it is too late:

Nubians need your help to save it from damming, Arabization and marginalization and preserve its international heritage from being destroyed under your watch at a time when rare fauna and flora species, threatened by extinction are having high attention and enjoying protection by the civilized world.

Nubians need the International Criminal Court (ICC) help to bring the killers of the Nubian martyrs on July 13, 2007 to justice and compensate the bereaved families for their loved ones.

Nubians need reparations for their losses of burnt palm trees.

Nubians need reparations from Egypt for using their lands as a free storage for its waters since 1964.

Urge the UNESCO, relevant UN agencies, US Congress and European Parliament to use their good offices to exert pressures on Sudan, Egypt and financiers to stop damming and Arabizing Nubia and destroying its monuments and artifacts and ask them to visit Nubia to see the situation on the ground.

Encourage the international media representatives to visit Nubia and expose the realities to the world.

Help Nubian delegations to address US Congress and European Parliament and appeal to expose the annihilation of Nubia.

تحية طيبة وبعد :
نخاطبكم اليوم بصفتنا الكيان النوبي وبصفتنا التجمع النوبي ، وبصفتنا نشطاء نوبيين بخصوص التجاوزات التي تتم في المنطقة النوبية بشمال السودان.
إن ما يتم الآن بواسطة الحكومة السودانية في الأقليم النوبي يندرج تحت طائلة  الإخلال بالطمأنينة للمواطنين المقيمين هناك والتطهير العرقي وممارسة الجريمة المنظمة ضد الاقليم النوبي . فالقوانين العالمية تمنع التهجير القسري و تكفل لكل المجموعات الإنسانية على بأن يعيشوا بأمن وسلامة ويكفل لهم ممارسة ثقاتهم ولغتهم والحفاظ علي وجودهم.
لفترة طويلة بدأت الحكومة السودانية في ممارسة أعمال قذرة القصد منها محاولة تهجيرهم .. ففي خلال النين الفائته نشبت حرائق مفتعله نجم عنها حريق 170000 شجرة نخيل.. ولا يمكن أن تكون هذه الحادثة نجمت بالصدفة.. فما يلبث حريق أن يخمد حتى يندلع حريق آخر..
ثانيا : سمحت الحكومة السودانية بممارسة التعدين العشوائي في كل المناطق النوبية الشي الذي يهدد بطمس الحضارة النوبية  . فالشركات القائمة هناك تتبع لرموز في المؤتمر الوطني منها شركة  الهاشور لكمال عبد اللطيف وزير المعادن السابق وشركة تتبع لنجل القيادي بالمؤتمر الوطني محمد نافع علي نافع بمنطقة دلقو وشركة تتبع للسيد مبارك الفاضل شمال عبري وهذه الشركات تستخدم مواد ممنوعة عالميا منها السيانيد والزئبق من شأنها أن تجعل المنطقة النوبية تعج بالأمراض العضوية والبيئية.
وصلت جرائم حرق النخيل في الخمس سنين المنصرمة إلى 170000 نخلة  على مستوى المنطقة النوبية من حلفا مرورا بالسكوت وصولا إلى دنقلا. وتعتبر النخلة هي المورد الرئيسي لسكان هذه المنطقة منذ آلاف السنين .
وتتم عملية حرق النخيل لأسباب يعلمها الجميع وهي رفض النوبيين لقيام إنشاء السدود في مناطقهم. كما أن هذه الخسائر المادية هي خسائر كبيرة جدا نتهم فيها صراحة إدارة وحدة السدود لأن هذه الحرائق بدأت مباشرة بعد أن رفض النوبيون  فكرة إنشاء السدود.
إن إستهداف النشطاء النوبيون ووضعهم في المعتقلات  دون توجيه أيتها تهمة قانونية إليهم  فهذا إنتهاك لحقوقهم الدستورية  فزنازين النظام تعج بالنشطاء  النوبيين الذين أودوا قسراً دون توجيه إتهام إليهم.
ظللنا نطالب من زمن طويل منذ العام 2007 بضرورة محاكمة مرتكبي مجزرة كجبار الذين هم معروفين لدينا  ومعورفين لدى السلطة. فهؤلاء يجب أن لا تمر جرائمهم دون محاسبة قانونية.
عليه نطالب نحن ككيان نوبي ونشطاء نوبيين بالآتي :
أولا : التعويض لشافي والكافي لكل الأسر النوبية التي تضررت من جراء جرائم حرائق النخيل
ثانياً : نطالب اليونسكو أن تضع منطقة النوبه تحت حمايتها إذا أن السدود من شأنها أن تدمر الحضارة النوبية التي ظلت قائمة هنالك منذ آلاف السنين
ثالثاً محاكمة مرتكبي مجزرة كجبار
رابعاً :محاكمة والي الشمالية لكل الجرائم التي ترتكب بمعرفته الات
خامسا: إيقاف التعدين الأهلي بكافة أنشطته من شركات وأفراد ، إذ أن المجموعات السكانية التي تجوب  المنطقة النوبية وتتغول على الأراضي التابعة للمواطنين صارت كبيرة. كما أننا ظللنا نطالب الأخ والي الولاية الشمالية بالتحقيق في الفساد الإداري الذ يمثله مدير وحدة عبري الإدارية ومدير وحدة دلقو الإدارية  في التجاوزات المالية الواضحة التي تمت في مناطق التعدين في توريدها  لخزينة الدولة ، كما أننا نطالب بتوفير كافة المعينات  التي من شأنها أن تحفظ للنوبيين حياتهم  بتوفير وحدات الإطفاء وبناء المراكز الصحية والمستشفيات . ونحيطكم علماً بأننا قد جمعنا صفوفنا وسنكون قادرين على مواجهة  الحكومة السودانية ممثلة في حكومة الولاية الشمالية بموظفيها وإداريها.. سنواجههم بفسادهم المالي والأخلاقي بكل السبل السلمية المعروفة  لإيصال صوتنا للعالم بأن يوفروا للمنطقة النوبية الأمن والسلام الذي تكفله لنا كل القوانين العالمية
ونطالب كل منظمات المجتمع لمدني بالسودان بالوقوف مع النوبيين في مطالبهم العادلة
ولكم منا الشكر والتقدير.
