For the past several years, people on the EWB, (http://ewb3.ithium.net/ewbII/), and all over the Internet have been creating online petitions, believing that they are helping a cause - they're not. The petitions they create do nothing to help the case, and may even hinder it, thanks to the profanity and incompetence shown by those that sign them.
These petitions may once have been useful, the first few may have even convinced the powers that be to reconsider whatever it was that spawned the petition in the first place. But no longer. These petitions have become the laughing stock of the Internet, and I, and many others, want to see the back of them for good.
Please, join the cause to stop online petitions forever.
