Uber drivers speak poor or no English. A problem when it comes to specific and difficult locations in London. They generally have absolutely no clue as to the subleties and tricks of navigating London and sat nav is useless to them anyway as they can't even spell the destination. I'm constantly fascinated how they managed to get from Syria or Afganistan to London but have not the vaguest clue how to get from Paddington to Trafalgar square (whilst trying to molest their female passengers at the same time).
TFL deseve support on their fully justified ban on a transport company that exploits both it's workers and it's passengers by providing an unreliable, directionally dyslexic, unsafe and expensive journey to your destination.
UBER diminishes the wide range of excellent, reliable and most of all honest and safe transport which has been avilable in London for decades now.
Let UBER use this opportunity to prove their benign morality and find their many exploited drivers work in other towns and cities that lack the already excellent transport system that London has prided itself with for many years and makes UBER in London redundant.
