Support The Overton Gateway

I have reviewed the plans for the proposed Overton Gateway multi-family development and sign this petition to indicate my SUPPORT for the proposal. I believe this proposal brings much-needed density and development to an area of the city that will reap the benefits from it, and I urge City Council to approve this project.

The proposed multi-family development at the corner of East Parkway and Sam Cooper Blvd, Overton Gateway, by Makowsky Ringel Greenberg, LLC (MRG) is the sort of multi-family development this city needs. I support MRG’s commitment to working with Memphis to create an architecturally-focused, high-end multi-family community at a major gateway into Midtown and Overton Park that will increase the density, walkability, and attractiveness of our city.

Denser communities that are both walkable and accessible to amenities such as parks, public transportation, restaurants, and shopping are the driving force behind smart growth; it’s what will make Memphis a thriving city in the twenty-first century, and a competitor against other prosperous and developing cities.
