Kim Sheldrick who has volunteered for the 2951 cadets has been fundraising for the past 3 years to help cadets go to Vimy Ridge in November. She has raised over $40,000 during that time. Some of those donations were given because of who she is. She was scheduled to attend this trip with her son up until last week. After handing in another substantial donation, she was told by the commanding officer that she is not longer allowed to go. This was only 27 days prior to leaving. It has devastated Kim to no end. Everyone that knows her, knows that this has been her life.
We the undersigned, are asking DND, the Toronto cadet office and 2951 Commanding Officer to reinstate Kim Sheldrick to attend this trip with the cadets.
