On December 5th 2008 Bulgaria turned into a field of yet another tragedy. The twenty-year old university student in Pharmacy – Stoyan Baltov – was brutally murdered just for fun by a group of sadistic youngsters.
After this horrific event the world witnessed yet another parody that was play-acted by the governing authorities of this state – Bulgaria – Member of the European Union. The governing bodies took no stand on this case.
The Members of Parliament even ran away by taking an early-than-expected Christmas vacation one hour before the protest organized by the Bulgarian university-students who peacefully asked for their voice to be heard and for somebody to promise them a safer world to live in.
This is why, dear people, I turn to you with this petition to help people have a safer life in 21st century in Bulgaria!
Things must start changing! Changes must start now:
1. Life sentence without the possibility of parole for the murderers of Stoyan Baltov;
2. Reform in the judicial system –
more severe and more adequate punishments for the criminals in Bulgaria.
