The Post Star newspaper in Glens Falls, NY is littering the Glens Falls, S. Glens Falls, Queensbury and surrounding communities with their 'freebie' weekly newspaper. Papers are being tossed in people's yards and driveways as well as on sidewalks and in streets. These papers are found degredating in puddles, vacant lots and in the middle of streets.
After many complaints, The Post Star's response does not address the littering issue. Their response is to contact the publisher requesting discontinuing individual deliveries. The question is why should a person have to contact them to discontinue delivery of something that was never subscribed to in the first place? Please sign this petition ~ and share with others ~ to stop this awful practice of littering our communities. Thank you!
We, the undersigned, request that The Post Star newspaper of Glens Falls, NY cease immediately the tossing of their free weekly newspaper in our driveways, yards, sidewalks, streets and around our communities. Tossing unrequested, unwanted newspapers in our community is considered littering, is environmentally disrespectful and needs to stop immediately.
