This petition is to stop the building of an additional house on the lot located at 244 Ava Drive. An additional house would impose privacy issues. The houses would be extremely close together and would stop the lifestyle we are used to as a suburban area.
Parking would be a huge problem. Erma Drive has permit parking only. There is No Parking in the dead end where 244 Ava Drive is located. Giving the two potential new home owners very limited area to park.
There are many trees on the property of 244 Ava Drive. These trees have been in existence for over 50 years. All of these trees would have to be removed to accommodate an additional house. This would completely change the appearance of our now beautiful park like fell of this corner. Trees could be cut back but not removed if only one house was on the property.
We, the undersigned, request that the Town of Hempstead, Building Department refuse the spitting of the lot located at 244 Ava Drive.
We request that any variance requested to build an additional house on this property is denied.
