The term "binge drinking" can mean different things to different people, but some common definitions are:
1 Drinking so that you can deliberately get drunk
2 Occasional and irregular bouts of heavy drinking
3 Normally being a responsible drinker, but often overindulging
Alcohol is the most widely used recreational drug in Australia. Because of its popularity, people don't tend to think of it as a drug, or even realize that it can be harmful. But alcohol is the largest cause of drug-related deaths among Australian teenagers.
Regularly drinking large amounts of alcohol can damage your body, social life and relationships. And if you're under 18, the health risks are even more serious.
Some of the risks involved with binge drinking include:
Having accidents
Getting into fights or arguments
Missing work
Feeling depressed
Passing out
Loss of valuable and personal items like wallets, jewellery, phones and iPods
Having unsafe sex
I certainly made a few mistakes as a teenager and have got into some embarrassing situations. Ive also been so intoxicated that i passed out and my friends had to take me to hospital.

People need to sign this petition because binge drinking is one of the main issue in Australia at the moment.
This will probably be an awareness to the people that dont know about binge drinking. We have to approach this in a way that makes our streets safer. Most and likely the parents and the local government can be part of solution and tackle this scourge.
