In the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, peaceful protests have been going for a while by apprehensive villagers against the comissioning of a Russian-assisted nuclear plant and the state's Chief Minister assured them that she will not do anything against their well-being.
Now, having established a comfortable majority in the State Assembly, she has taken a U-Turn suddenly to please the Prime Minister of India and the Russian Government. The Russian Ambassador in India has praised the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Ms.Jeyalalitha, who failed to meet the villagers and understand their genuine concerns even after being begged to do so. From the 20th of March, 2012, she has deployed thousands of armed police around all the villages surrounding the nuclear facility. These protesters are unarmed and engaged in peaceful demonstrations. They are being brutally attacked and arrested. Not a single villager is unaffected.
The sea routes and land routes are being blocked, leaving the people without access to daily essentials. The gun-weilding policemen are getting into houses late in the nights to arrest people. All the villagers are in a state of shock.

Please help these innocent villagers to make their voices heard. They are treated as aliens in their own country by the governing bodies, who have completely let them down. Democracy and human emotions are being butchered.
If you have the opportunity, please visit them and listen to their fears and frustrations. They do not need financial aid, but Emotional Comfort and the absence of armed security forces. Please act as soon as you can as they are suffering. Thank you for loving humanity and Mother Nature's assets.
