The Newman government, when elected in the State of Queensland, passed a legislation that:" Any stay in a public or private hospital over 35 days will cost the patient a fee daily in excess of $58.00." A lower income earner, for example is not exempt. There are cases that when they have been charged because of this legislation, they have to make a payment plan, which is a debt that may never be paid or call charitable organisations for help. Is this right, with the present economic climate . Aren't pensioners suffering enough!
HAVE YOUR SAY.
"We the undersigned call to the Queensland State Labour Government to eliminate this unfair legislation currently in place. There at other ways to put a budget in surplus or out of deficit. So DO SOMETHING Annastacia Palaszcuk! "
