My petition is to try and say to the government to stop introduced species. My reasoning is that everytime we have introduced species something has gone wrong. Either with the ecosystem or with how the the new species cope with the environment.
Recent examples are the cane toad. That was an ecosystem failure because the toad raised the extinction rate of all the native or not native animals by a whopping 2%. If that was one species think what a whole lot more will do.
There are many others in australia that have done just as much damage or even more damage than the cane toad.
If we don't do something more about it then we will have helped got rid of the native animals approximately 200,000 years yearlier.
I call the on the Australian government to address this issue and put more reasources in helping our native animals cope with the damaging introduced species.
