There are many websites that are promoting hatred and violence, as well as making a mock of religious aspects when it comes to Islam (the religion of muslims).

It is clear that there are many people who would twist religion and use and abuse religious views to suit their own (hidden) agenda, and carry out aspects of terrorism and hate. But to blame a whole religious group is absolutely pathetic, and this is the kind of behavior that triggers retaliation and riots and so on.

There are such things as "innocent people" who DO NOT carry out acts of Terrorism and hate against non-muslims... and not so surprisingly these innocent people are also muslims...!

"HOW CAN THAT BE??!", you ask? "MUSLIMS ARE ALL TERRORISTS??" open up your eyes and use your heads... I mean seriously, I do not know this for a fact, but what genuine religion promotes violence, hatred and condones terrorism? Religions are supposes to be peaceful.

Just because an alleged or proven guilty individual or group are found guilty or accused of terrorism (and happen to be muslim) DOES NOT PROVE that ALL muslims are Terrorists. It is either coincidence OR these people (the accused/guilty) are using religion to hide and shield themselves (for whatever reason, who knows? It's not like they get immunity or do they?).

We here the undersigned, call on the UN to eliminate the following website from promoting hate and making a mock of the Islam religion.

We believe it is imperative that you take action against websites such as http://www.prophetmohammed.co.uk/ sites like this incite and promote hatred and violence against individuals who chose to follow Islam or who are Muslims. There appears to be a pattern of violence which is aimed at the Islam religion alone, who are targeted by this website which cannot simply be a coincidence. Hate websites do not deserve the protection of the principles of freedom of speech when they seek to prevent others from exercising their democratic rights.

Although the website(s) may be hosted outside the UK, the people who run them and provide information to them may fully well be in the UK. A court in Quebec in June convicted a Canadian citizen for wilfully promoting hatred through a racist website that he created and managed, although the site itself was hosted outside Canada. The same action should be possible here.

These websites do not only promote hatred and racism against Islam, but also mock aspects of the religion. We understand that there are individuals out there who would hide behind religion to perform acts of terrorism, and it is pathetic and disgusting, but blaming a religion as a whole for actions taken by individuals is completely out of order.

We (the undersigned) urge you to act now.
