The City of Toronto is reviewing a proposal asking for the approval of two high story condos, One at 69 stories and the other 44 stories. This would remove all of the retail businesses on the North East corner of Yonge and Eglinton. Where TD Canada Trust is located through the corner of Roehampton.

This would result in more crowding of the intersection also the grocery store with more people which it has no more space available to stop for Daily Necessities to provide the overwhelming demand for the products provided at the Grocery Store.

This plan would cut more than 500 jobs or even more and close more than 25 business. There already is progress in the two other condominiums from 0.45km away from the proposed site.

A rezoning application has been submitted to City Planning to permit the redevelopment of the lands for the purposes of a new mixed use building comprised of two residential towers 64 stories and 38 stories in height respectively connected by a 3 storey podium containing retail and office uses.

Included in the proposal is the demolition and replacement of 30 existing rental dwelling units secured through a related Residential Demolition Control Application. The proposal will contain 1166 dwelling units complete with 371 parking spaces located in a below grade parking facility, 95 of which would be provided for retail and office purposes. That means more traffic less stores and more people.

All 30 stores would close and lot's of job will be lost and less cultural restaurants will be available. It would demolish all stores from TD bank to the corner of Rohampton.
