St Paul’s Centre Project will create a unique, purpose built community facility in Aberavon. St Paul’s Church has been a landmark building in the Aberavon community for the last 100 years. St Paul’s Centre would replace the current hall within the grounds of the Church.

The design of St Paul’s Centre allows for innovative community cafe, shop and garden spaces at the centre of the building. Surrounding these ‘gathering’ spaces will be rooms of varying proportions available to groups to hire.

The project will bring employment to the local area in the form of a Community Worker and Administrator. Although the centre will offer first-class hire facilities, it will also focus on partnership-working with other community based providers to deliver a programme of educational courses and employment skills training.

In summary of the project, we aim to:

Demolish the existing hall.
Construct a purpose-built community facility.
Employ a Community Worker and Administrator.
Deliver a range of services that tackle, debt, unemployment, health issues...
Working in partnership with local community regeneration agencies/organisations.
Operate a community cafe, shop and garden.
Provide access to modern, multi-use spaces for groups to hire.
Operate a sustainable business model.

We, the undersigned, support the St Paul's Centre Project (www.stpauls-centre.org) and it's application for funding.

It is a necessary community facility for Aberavon.
