The City Council of Troy passed an ordinance banning smoking from all businesses on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. On Friday, June 28, 2013 it went into effect.
There were 5 council members that voted "unanimously" on this ban.
We, the undersigned, strongly disagree with the city wide smoking ban. The ordinanced was "unanimously" voted on by 5 city council members on a Tuesday and went into effect 2 days later.
If a business rebuilt and expanded to comply with the city's first smoking ordinance in 2006, it should be the business owner's choice whether or not to go smoke free.
