Recently, Capitol Bars got rid of the bouncers we all knew and loved from The George. Not only where these guys extremely professional and excellent at their job, but they where lovely, friendly chatty guys.
Over the past few months, I have personally heard hundreds of stories regarding the new bouncers in the George. They have been physically and verbally abusive to customers causes many to drink elsewhere.
They have used abusive language on many occasions for no apparent reason, been physically aggressive towards people. In general, these "professionals" are not very professional at all and do not seem to understand The George and its clients.
The George is Dublins oldest and most loved Dublin Gay Club and the staff were always one of the main things that made the place so special.
Why should we stand for this sort of sh*t ?
Why should we be cautious to go into the G, afraid that these ignorant aggressive bouncers might refuse us for no good reason ?
Why is it that there has been a huge increase in straight girls and non regulars when bouncers are refusing loyal customers that have been going to the G for years ?
