We are concerned about the cumulative impacts and deterioration of our quality of life related to the proposed addition of Video Gaming at the existing Race Palace OTB Facility in Plainview.
We the undersigned join the Concerned Citizens of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Community Inc. in voicing our deep concerns regarding the consideration of adding Video Gaming to the Race Palace in Plainview.
Further, we understand that as part of the process to determine feasibility there will be opportunity for public review. To that end, we are united in requesting that you do not proceed any further in your deliberations until you have immediately removed the Race Palace location entirely from consideration.
Plainview-Old Bethpage is a well established suburban community and is absolutely not an appropriate location for Video Gaming and Gambling. This proposal is highly inconsistent with our treasured family values for which we have all settled in Plainview-Old Bethpage to raise our children; and will certainly jeopardize the health, safety and welfare of our families.
