This is an unfair tax assessment being proposed. For many the Tax is actually nothing more than a TAX on Rainfall.
A select area of Riverside is being held responsible for water run off problem, yet much of the problem is out-of-bounds as to being held accountable. The problem has to do with a few people that live near Lilly creek where occasional flooding has occurred since they have built their homes, these people have knowingly chosen to live in area that can flood. A lot of the problem is due to water coming from Green County do to new construction.
The cost of phase 1 of the project is $1.8 million and more assessments will be forth coming.
