Two Hands coffee cart is an award winning community initiative. The program provides job training and employment to disadvantage youth, and have assisted in some part up to 50 individuals in the last year.
Operating as a coffee cart in Launceston's Civic Square it brings life to what is otherwise a drab and lifeless section of the city, while at the same time training Launceston’s Barista of tomorrow which will significantly lift the future coffee culture of Launceston.
The Launceston City Council is considering dropping support for this program due to budget cuts, which will mean the closure of the cart.
As an independent bystander and resident of Launceston I urge you to sign this petition to let the council know of the public’s support of this program and what it achieves.
We, the undersigned, call on the Launceston City Council to continue their support of the Two Hands Coffee Cart in its current form, and ensure its long term viability.
