Thames Water have proposed to use the park, riverfront, riverside walkway and children’s playground at King's Stairs Gardens as a construction site for their ‘Super Sewer’ for at least seven years. Once the construction is complete the park will be home to large permanent structures, including sewage vents. This site is in a densely populated residential area.
King's Stairs Gardens is a beautiful green space, has been recognised as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation and is one of the last remaining riverfront parks with fantastic views of the Thames and London landmarks including Tower Bridge.
Please help save King's Stairs Gardens by requesting that Thames Water find a more suitable site.
