Motorists are exceeding the speed limit and not heeding stop signs on Cedar Ave on a consistent basis. Some of the perpetrators of these activities have also equipped their vehicles with custom devices designed to maximize the decibel level of their exhaust systems.
These issues are not only a serious safety concern of the residents but also an invasion of our personal privacy. The Babylon Village Trustees need to recognize and address these issues on behalf of their concerned constituents.
We, the undersigned call on the Village Trustees to enforce a solution to manage this issue by whatever means possible.
Options should include but not be limited to adding marked crosswalks, stop signs, speed bumps, rumble strips and or radar guns at strategic points along Cedar Ave.
