When it comes to sport it's really no news how the aussies and kiwis applaud England's defeat regardless of the game but let's face it, if they carried on like that towards countries like Pakistan or the West Indies they would get branded with the "racism" iron before they could utter another deriding word.
O’Neill followed in the usual Antipodean style of discrediting any English success namely the 2003 Rugby World Cup where we actually dared to defeat their sporting supremacy. Will they EVER get over that victory and start to accept us as viable competitors?
Here are the snippets of Mouth’s recent immature comments;
"It doesn't matter whether it's cricket, rugby union, rugby league – we all hate England." And he stood by his comments over the weekend, adding: "I stand by that. Everyone does. All I'm doing is stating the bleeding obvious".
"If they want further proof, how do they think France won the right to host this World Cup? It is simple. No one would vote for England, and they were the only other country in the running. Sadly, this is all a by-product of their born-to-rule mentality. It's been there for a long time now and nothing has changed."
Well it’s time we stated the “bleeding obvious” and condemned this idiotic behaviour for what it is. By ousting the Mouth we could help remove yet another chip from colonial shoulders that crops up every time international games are played - and hopefully help make OUR game professional once again.
