Russ has added to his outstanding TV reputation with his performance as a straight actor in the role of Ted in the three drama series of Granada's September Song.
His many crazy creations including: Cooperman, CU Jimmy the Scot, Fat Man, Basildon Bond, Boggles, Julio Doubleglazius and Vince Prince have become classics through six Russ Abbot's Madhouse series for LWT and six Russ Abbot Show series and specials for BBC TV.
30-somethings grew-up laughing with this man on Saturday night telly in the 80's, and had there heart strings tugged by him in TV drama in the 90's.
