As part of the research portion of this petition, no where is it stated in writing or has it been mentioned before the beginning of production, that actively enrolled students of the courses Fashion Design III and IV would recieve fifty percent (50%) or less on a garment and/or project that is recieved one day late.

After thoroughly sifting through the syllabus that was granted to us, (students actively enrolled for the Term 4 2009) there is nothing clearly communicating that fifty percent (50%) would be taken off for being one or more days late. As part of a higher education there are rules and regulations that must be followed, students consenting to follow these terms of agreement, and instructors as well, at least that's what is assumed.

As part of students' rights, We ask that there be a review of the grading rubric and or late work policy and procedures for the courses: Fashion Design III and IV for the current term (Term 4 2009) and may that be the solified grading rubric and late work policy for the terms to come.

As a college student, member of the academy, and partaking in such education such as higher learning, we feel that it is only fair to receive a more reasonable amount of points and/or percentage off. Fifty percent (50%) being outrageously high for one day late.
