All of us are shocked by the new heights of terror that Mumbai has witnessed. However, while watching it all on TV, I was also shocked by the utter irresponsibility shown by our TV channels. By showing every single move of the policemen/soldiers on TV, they were - although unintentionally - helping terrorists.
Terrorists could just turn on the TVs in their hideouts, and get all the strategic information they needed to fight the soldiers.
Live telecasts inform the local public as well as terrorist groups. Terrorists can makes their strategies on the basis of live telecasts so it is better to stop live telecasts.
