We are a group of Vegan and Vegetarian citizens living in Northern Rhode Island and North east Connecticut. that are looking to see viable menu options for dining out in our area. Some live with animal free diet for health reasons, but most prefer to live a cruelty free life. Many Vegans choose not to go out for dining, knowing that there will be little to nothing on the menu for them. Our intent is to list restaurants as Vegan/ Vegetarian friendly on our web page and facebook page.
Some Frequently asked questions:
* No Vegans do not eat fish of any kind.
* Is Pizza/ Pasta Vegan? Care has to be taken when ordering pizza/ pasta sauce as some restaurants use cheese as an ingredient in the sauce and whey as an ingredient in the crust.
Just because no animal products are listed on a menu item? is it Vegan? Not necessarily. Check to see if butter is used in cooking.
