Presently the Country of the United Kingdom spends £285 per cancer patient on research, yet only spends £11 per dementia patient!

This is disgusting and the country needs to raise awareness and spend money on research similar to that of research into cancer.

We, the undersigned, call on the Government of the United Kingdom, Great Britain, to be more committed to finding a cure for dementia and Alzeimer's Disease and to ultimately spend more money on the research.

Presently, per cancer patient, nearly £290 is spent on researching the disease, but per Alzheimer's patient, a mere £11 is spent on research. This is unacceptable. It looks as though having dementia is something to be ashamed of.

Please consider signing to ask the Prime Minister to consider spending more money on research into dementia. Drugs such as Aricept and Exelon need to be more affordable. Let's stamp out dementia. There is nothing to be ashamed of. Thank you.
