The City of Arcata must have had this on their agenda because within days of posting they began work on the street, fixing the most egregious problems.
The stretch of Hilfiker Dr. between Alliance Road and Maple Ave. recently underwent sewer repair requiring a street repair which consisted of compacting fill and slurry coating.
In the past year the street quality has degraded significant with potholes developing from Alliance Road to Davis Ave.
People frequently walk this street, and lacking sidewalks requires sharing the road with pedestrian, cyclists, and vehicles making passage increasingly difficult while attempting to dodge road hazards.
We, the undersigned, request that you, the City of Arcata, repair this road quickly and keep it maintained to prevent damage and possible injury.
