We are writing in this petition to get Serial Microelectronics Pte Ltd management to refrain from not recognising Malaysia Medical Certificate or claims for employees working in Serial Singapore office.
We are having staffs that are working in Serial Singapore office but staying in Johor Bahru (JB), Malaysia. It's impractical for staffs staying in JB to travel into Singapore to visit a Singapore doctor to get a Medical Certificate and then go back to JB to take a rest.
If a person is sicked, we do not think the person will have the energy and time to travel ("jam") into Singapore which will normally take about at least an hour to clear the custom. And after the visit to the Singapore doctor, the staff will have to travel ("jam") back into JB (which will take another hour). The person will not have enough rest which will resulted into getting more than a day of MC.
Therefore, pls reconsider from no longer accepting Claims and Medical Certificate from clinics in Malaysia.
