#Public Safety/Common Sense
Target:
Copperas Cove ISD
Region:
United States of America

The Copperas Cove BullDawg Stadium, is a safety hazard, and is difficult for the physically disabled and or challenged to use. The Handicap entrance is at only one end of the stadium, and Handicap seating is non-existent in Reserved Seating.

The Stadium itself has become flimsy, when behind another person, a wheelchairs wheel can catch on a section of walkway that had bent downward from fatigue, and not come back up in time for the chair safely pass. And, the Handicap entrance is only on one side of the stadium.

There should be a Handicap entrance and each end and in the middle, for safety. Reason being, if the center, or or either side of the stadium, were to collapse, Handicap and/or physically challenged people, wouldn't be able to get out with the one, single, Handicap ramp, if they are on the far end, and cut off from the Handicap ramp. Hence, is the need for two more, to ensure the safety of those in the stadium. Also, on the topic of Handicap seating: it is placed only on the ends of the stadium. In reserved seating, there is none. Because of this, Wheel chairs, Handicap Scooters, and walkers, are placed out on the walkway, in the way of others walking by, even after paying more, instead of safely in Handicap seating, with no need to worry about being run into.

The last point to be addressed, is how slick and slippery the walkway's and ramp becomes when wet. Many people have slipped on the walkway. This, is the main safety hazard, and can cause bodily injury. All mentioned in this petition, in opinion, should all be common sense.

We, the undersigned, strongly urge the Copperas Cove ISD, to Rebuild, or renew/repair, the BullDawg Stadium.
