I have a child who has asthma in the Henry county school system who takes daily medicines. Upon the asthma attacks at school, I was notified that the school nurses are not certified or have proper nurse training. You only have to be a graduate of high school with a test by them.
I always thought the school nurses were nurses who have bachelor degrees or lpn's that can administer drugs. That is not the case in Henry county. I feel that the parents need to be aware before something happens to our children.
If you also want to change how Henry county takes care of our babies, please sign this petition. The care of our children shouldn't be based on our budget, while putting the money towards other things that are less concerned. It's about our children and we need qualified school nurses.
