Whereas, Facebook summarily disabled the "Defend Marriage" profile without notice and would not respond to email, facsimile, or phone contact -- (this was never resolved -- cf. http://gopetition.com/online/25552.html).
And whereas, Facebook also disabled the "Defend Marriage" fan page with 36,000+ upon the provocation of a homosexual activist (cf.- http://revjb.blogspot.com/2009/07/lies-intimidation-and-dirty-tricks.html).
And whereas, the pattern exhibited by Facebook seems to be part of a much broader effort to discriminate and regulate the free speech of both social and fiscal conservatives.
Be it resolved that we the undersigned petitioners, each being a legal citizen of the United States and entitled to all the privileges and immunities thereof, admonish Facebook not to discriminate further. We're watching!!!!
And finally, be it further resolved, that we support the U.S. Constitution and will not suffer tyrants willingly: Don't Tread On Me.
