There is a current limit of 200 watts or 33cc output for powered bicycles in Australia. This needs to be increased to 1500 watts, or 68cc engine capacity to be of use to a Powered Bicycle. This requires a political decision to change the law.
In today's "Green Climate" it's imperative to use less infrastructure, IE: smaller energy efficient means of transport such as Powered Bicycle to achieve this. These bicycles are readily available, people want to use them, the only impediment is the political will to allow it.
Please increase the power limit of Power Assisted bicycles from 200watts or 33cc engine capacity to 1500 Watts or 68cc capacity.
