People have been complaining about the so-called recycling program that was forced on the residents of the Sunshine Coast and Powell River.
It has been up and running long enough to know that it does nothing to keep the majority of recyclable products from having to be barged out.
More and more residents are forced to pay to have items removed that could be converted into other items or incinerated to create power.
I hope to have a simple question placed on the ballots during our upcoming civic election.
We, the undersigned, call for our local representative or mayor of Powell River and the Regional District of Powell River to put the current recycling program up to a vote on its continued use.
I want to keep our environment clean and our Sunshine Coast the most beautiful places on Earth.
