As many obviously know, the school is doing major construction including adding a new auditorium. Unfortunately, during this process they destroyed 4 perfectly good living trees.
As a senior at Floral Park Memorial, I will not attend the school after this year and not be around well before construction is finished. This is a petition so that the school will ensure the planting of 4 trees on school grounds after construction is finished. As a member of GreenPeace, the environment is very important to me. Our town has streets named after trees afterall; we shouldn't let this happen in our own backyard.
We, the students, teachers, and staff of Floral Park Memorial High School ask that Floral Park Memorial replants the 4 trees that were lost during the reconstruction on the school grounds during the 2016-2017 school year and any future trees being removed for the purpose of reconstruction.
