Coach Lowe recently was not renewed as Head Wrestling Coach for Sikeston R-6 due to perception of the community on personal issues However, the community was never allowed to express their opinion. ,He has been the Head Wrestling Coach for the past 5 years and due to him many wrestlers have became more confident in themselves. In 2015, Coach Lowe was named Coach of The Year for District 1 Class 3, at state. The school record was broken in 2015/2016 for the number of wrestlers that went to State. For the past three years 7 plus wrestlers have gone to state. Coach Lowe helps bulid character both on and off the mat. He has helped the wrestling team come together as a family and our family will not be complete without Coach Lowe.
We, the Community of Sikeston and the Sikeston Wrestling Team, calls upon the Sikeston R-6 School Board, to reinstate Coach Chris Lowe as Head Wreslting Coach.
