Petition to keep the Martin Family in their Family Home

Members of the family have lived in Birchanger Village since 2000, Originally moving in with both parents Robert Martin & previous Karen Martin.
In 2002 the tenancy was assigned from a joint tenancy to a sole tenancy when Karen left the family home and got divorced , Robert martin has been the soul tenancy since that date but has sadly recently passed away on 20/7/2017., living in the family home at present are his three children, Katie martin, Annalise martin & Jordon martin who have not missed a rent payment or council tax while their father was admitted to hospital after having a major stroke.
A week since Roberts death, the three children named above have received a letter stating that they will no longer be able to stay in their family home due to Roberts passing. This is due to the the fact the tenancy has already been assigned once. The letter states that only one assignment per tenancy is permitted.Rehoming the children would mean all of Roberts children would be split up and the youngest at present is only eighteen years of age.
As the tenancy has already been transferred from a joint to a sole tenancy already, this means that they are unable to make any further assignment of the property.
Extra stress to the family at a very difficult time further to what they are already dealing with, they have not even buried their father yet and are now worrying about being homeless. This is causing stress related issues too all parties.
At the moment they have a brilliant support network around them from the village, taking them away from this support will add the stress and anxiety they are currently facing.
