In the past the Georgia Institute of Technology in conjunction with OSHA has done an amazing job providing the highest level of education in the development of well-trained Safety and Health professionals.
I believe at this time it is highly recommended that they implement a Professional Master’s degree for both the General industry and the Construction Industry at their University. They currently offer a Certificate program that rivals none and with their already highly decorated record will make this Master’s degree one that anyone holding it an undeniable level of pride and will garner much respect from employers and the Health and Safety community.
Many of you have already either gained a Program Certificate in this area or are working on one and would use this as part of the Degree requirements as well as the many years of experience. This degree is one that utilizes your professional experience as well as classroom time as part of the necessary requirements needed to meet the high expectations of the State but, more importantly the standards of Georgia Tech.
You will be able to use them to exempt the need for a GRE (Graduate Record Examination) normally the required exam to enter into a Master’s degree Program.
We, the undersigned, call on The Georgia Institute of Technology to implement the Professional Master’s Degree in Construction Health and Safety as well as a Professional Master’s Degree in General Industry Health and Safety.
