On February 21, 2015, at approximately 1828 hours I was traveling North on 10th Street in Oakdale approaching Blackwell Street. Upon making a right turn onto Blackwell Street the bottom of my vehicle struck a man hole cover that is elevated above the street. Unknowingly, the impact ruptured my oil pan on my 2010 ES 350 Lexus.
When I arrived at 208 East Blackwell Street I smelled a very strong odor as if something was burning. I got out to inspect my vehicle and also asked Michael wade to inspect it and we discovered that it was leaking oil. I immediately, turned off the engine to prevent any further damage. I contacted my spouse, Leroy K. Kelly because the vehicle was disabled and I had to leave the vehicle in place until we were able to contact the Mayor's Office at the City Of Oakdale.
On February 23, 2015 at approximately, 0720 Leroy, contacted Oakdale City Hall in reference to this incident and was advised that we needed to get a police report done. Also he was informed to contact the City Attorney Ray Rush to inquire about a resolution to this matter. Pictures were taken.
We, the citizens of The City of Oakdale, La Petition the city to repair and fix the depression at the intersection Of Blackwell and 10th Avenue.
There has been property damage done to several vehicles causing thousands of dollars in damage to personal vehicles.
We demand that the city repair the road properly.
