Grand Central Avenue and Perkins Avenue needs a stop sign! Currently there is only one stop sign on all of Grand Central, which happens to be right in the middle of the avenue.
Those of you who, are familiar with the area know, that Grand Central is one of the widest and longest residential streets in Amityville. There are approximately 11 children that live in the vicinity of this intersection not counting all the other children that live further south.
We see day in and day out cars and trucks speeding, some doing as much as 50 to 60 miles an hour, while the speed limit is 30 miles an hour.

We, the undersigned residents living on Grand Central Avenue, Perkins Avenue and vicinity, do hereby petition the Incorporated Village of Amityville to install a STOP SIGN on Grand Central Avenue at the intersection of Grand Central Avenue and Perkins Avenue stopping north/south bound traffic.
We want to slow the speed of traffic to protect our children and our residents.
