Target:
Virginia Parole Board; Govenor Terry McAuliffe
Region:
United States of America

Kiree was arrested and convicted in the mid 1990’s at the age of 18, and sentenced to life in prison, WITH parole. Kiree has been eligible for parole for nearly 12 years now, but has not been given what appears to be a fair and considerate review at actually being released into society.

Every time Kiree has been denied parole in the past, it has been for the same reason; releasing him would undermine the law and deprecate the seriousness of the crime. Although, he is sincerely remorseful for the crime he committed, the seriousness of the crime will NEVER change.

Kiree has spent 24+ years institutionalized, yet has put forth the effort in bettering himself to prepare for his release back into society. Through his extremely long haul at being institutionalized, he has matured and educated himself throughout his time.

At a very young age, with no guidance and support, Kiree fell victim to the streets, which allowed him to make poor decisions. Kiree is now 43 years of age, and has been a mentor and father figure to many young men entering into the system. With enough support, and consideration from the parole board, Kiree will be able to put forth those same efforts to young men before reaching the system.
