The recent upgrade to our school canteen has not been received well by many of the students at SION. Prices have become excessive, as an example a small cup of mousse which is only ever filled half-way but fetches $4.50. Also, pasta is never filled to the top of the containers and cost $6 for the small bucket. Seems unfair don't you think? Some other students have commented that some of the staff have come across as abrupt. That seems to only be the tip of the iceberg as staff seem disorganised at lunch time which causes students to wait even longer than what is reasonable. Another example has seen the price of cookies go from being $1.80 for a large one to now charging $4.00 for a medium sized. It is so extreme and unnecessary as students don't usually want to pay a lot for their snacks. Many students don't have a part time job and only want to spend a small amount at the school canteen. This is extremely hard when our canteen basically sells everything over $4.

We the students are asking Our Lady of Sion to reconsider the current situation of the canteen for our school. The school canteen at Our Lady of Sion has become unaffordable for many students, staff at time have appeared abrupt. , staff aren't ready at lunch time and everything is half-filled. We feel that the students deserve a better choice and a more affordable option for recess and lunch. We would greatly appreciate a review of the current situation in the canteen,
